Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions govern all services, quotes, repairs, installations, tooling supply and advice provided by MB Technical & Electrical Services ("MBTES", "we", "us"). By requesting a service call, accepting a quote or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

If you have a separate written agreement with us, that agreement takes precedence where the two conflict.

Written quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise on the quote. Quotes are based on the information supplied by you and on the machine condition described at the time of enquiry.

Where a fault cannot be fully assessed until the machine is opened or tested, the quoted figure is an estimate. If additional parts or labour are required, we will contact you for approval before proceeding.

Prices are in Australian dollars and are exclusive of GST unless the quote states otherwise.

Service call bookings are confirmed by email or phone. We make every effort to attend at the agreed time, but attendance times are estimates and may be affected by travel, breakdown priorities, parts availability or matters outside our control.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, or a site that is not ready or accessible on arrival, may attract a call-out and travel charge.

You must provide safe, clear and lawful access to the machinery, including isolation points, and advise us of any site-specific hazards, inductions or permit requirements before work begins.

Machinery must be clean, de-energised where required and free of product or offcuts. We may suspend work where a site or machine presents an unacceptable safety risk.

Parts and tooling remain the property of MBTES until paid for in full. Lead times for imported parts and tooling are indicative only.

Special-order, custom-manufactured and made-to-order tooling is non-returnable unless faulty.

Unless credit terms have been agreed in writing, invoices are payable within 7 days of the invoice date. Deposits may be required for parts, tooling orders and larger installation or relocation works.

Overdue accounts may incur interest and reasonable recovery costs, and further works may be placed on hold until the account is settled.

Workmanship is warranted for 3 months from completion, covering the specific repair performed. Parts and tooling carry the manufacturer's warranty only.

Warranty does not cover fair wear and tear, consumables, misuse, operator error, unauthorised modification, failure to follow maintenance schedules, or faults caused by other equipment or supply issues.

All electrical work is carried out by a licensed electrical contractor in accordance with applicable Australian standards and state regulations. Certificates of testing and compliance are issued where required.

We are not responsible for pre-existing non-compliant installations that fall outside the scope of the works quoted, though we will advise you if we identify them.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where liability can be limited, our liability is limited, at our option, to re-performing the service or refunding the amount paid for it.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of production, downtime, loss of profit or loss of data.

Information you provide through our enquiry forms, quotes and job records is handled in line with our privacy policy.

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
