Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect the information you share with MBTES.

Last updated 15 August 2026

1. Who we are

MB Technical & Electrical Services ("MBTES") provides mechanical, electrical and technical service for CNC and woodworking machinery across Australia. This policy explains how we handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

2. What we collect

Contact details you give us — name, business name, email address, phone number and site address.

Job information — machine make, model, serial number, fault descriptions, service history, photos and documents you upload against a job.

Correspondence — enquiry messages, quote responses, notes from calls and site visits.

Basic technical data from our website, such as pages visited, used to keep the site secure and working properly.

3. How we use it

To respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, schedule service calls and complete works.

To keep accurate equipment and service records so future repairs are faster and better informed.

To send job-related emails — quotes, confirmations, status updates and reminders.

To meet legal, safety, insurance, warranty and tax obligations.

We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing email unless you ask us to.

4. Who we share it with

Trusted service providers that help us operate — email delivery, secure cloud hosting and accounting software — who may only use the information to provide those services to us.

Parts and tooling suppliers, only where needed to source or warrant an item for your machine.

Regulators, insurers or authorities where the law requires it.

5. Storage and security

Records are stored in secure, access-controlled cloud systems. Access to the MBTES portal is restricted to approved staff accounts, and job files are held in private storage that is not publicly listable.

No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

6. How long we keep it

We keep customer, equipment and service records for as long as needed to service your machinery and to satisfy our legal, warranty and tax obligations — generally at least seven years — then delete or de-identify them.

7. Cookies

Our website uses only the cookies and local storage needed for the site and staff portal to function, such as keeping you signed in. We do not use them to build advertising profiles.

8. Access, correction and complaints

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or raise a privacy concern by emailing matteo@mbtes.com.au or calling 0481 779 117. We aim to respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with its last-updated date.
